What unlocks at level 20 in Anime Expeditions?

The current system snapshot places the Expeditions mode unlock at player level 20.

Anime Expeditions Progression Guide: New Account to Endgame

Milestone 1: functional roster

Redeem codes, collect free rewards and summon enough to cover early damage. Add economy or support as soon as the roster allows it, but do not delay every Story clear to chase an ideal team.

Milestone 2: consistent Story clears

Learn which unit handles the opening waves and which becomes the main upgraded carry. Move placements to cover turns or overlapping routes instead of spreading units evenly.

Milestone 3: focused upgrades

Choose a small core. Level those units, understand their upgrade curves, and use basic equipment. Preserve expensive rerolls until evolution and long-term roster value are clear.

Milestone 4: targeted side modes

Use Challenge, Raid and other available modes for a specific objective. Enter with a reward target—materials, account progress or a unit path—rather than grinding a mode because it is open.

Milestone 5: level 20 preparation

Expeditions asks the team to protect a Payload through route nodes. Before level 20, develop early-wave stability, area coverage, boss damage and at least one form of utility.

The Hub includes buildings such as the Expedition Center, Research Lab, Armory, Gold Mine, Training Grounds, Resource Drill, Shop and Quest Board. Upgrade priorities should follow the bottleneck limiting your next runs.

Milestone 7: endgame goals

After the account can clear its core resource loop, choose a goal: difficult Expeditions, Raids, roster collection, Tournament or optimization. This keeps Traits and Equipment spending connected to a purpose.

Recovery when stuck

Identify the exact failure: early leak, boss timer, coverage, economy or survivability. Improve the one role responsible, replay the stage, and only then widen the upgrade plan.
